Biddy Bunzl is a Brockley, London-based painter and sculptor who studied at Vienna Kunst Akademie 1969-70, then obtained a degree in sculpture at Camberwell School of Art and Crafts. She spent a year at Rietveld Akademie in Amsterdam on a British Council scholarship and undertook postgraduate studies at Reading University. Bunzl turned to painting in 1980, initially producing purely abstract, formal colour paintings before moving on to a richer, brighter palette. She has showed widely in group shows – including Royal Academy upstairs gallery, Haywood annual and Riverside Gallery in London and the Biscuit factory in Newcastle. Solo shows include Odette Gilbert Gallery.
